    Service Terms & Client Agreement

    At Hair That Feels Right, the priority is always the long-term health and integrity of your hair. To ensure the best possible results and a seamless professional relationship, please review the following terms and expectations before your service.

    1. Consultation-First Approach

    Every transformation begins with a consultation. We do not guess or rush the process. This dedicated time allows us to properly evaluate your hair's current condition, understand your goals, and provide honest, professional recommendations. All services are customized based on this initial evaluation.

    2. Hair Integrity Policy

    The health of your hair is the foundation of every service provided. We reserve the right to adjust, postpone, or refuse any service if we determine that proceeding would compromise the structural integrity of your hair. Healthy hair will always be prioritized over achieving an immediate cosmetic result.

    3. Chemical Service Disclaimer

    Chemical services—including keratin treatments, highlights, and color—react differently depending on your hair's unique history and condition. While inspiration photos are helpful for understanding your style preferences, they are not a guarantee of exact results. Your final result will be tailored to what your hair can safely achieve.

    4. Client Responsibility

    Safe and predictable results rely on honest communication. You are responsible for fully disclosing your hair history, including any past use of box dyes, relaxers, or at-home treatments, even if they occurred years ago. Additionally, maintaining your results requires following the specific at-home aftercare regimen recommended during your appointment.

    5. Maintenance Expectations

    Beautiful, healthy hair requires consistent upkeep. Depending on your service, you will be provided with a recommended maintenance timeline. For example, keratin treatments generally require refreshing every 3–5 months, while dimensional color or highlights may need attention every 8–12 weeks. Committing to a maintenance schedule is essential for lasting results.

    6. Adjustment & Correction Policy

    We want you to feel confident and comfortable with your hair. If an adjustment is needed based on the agreed-upon consultation plan, please reach out within 48 hours of your appointment. Adjustments are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please note that a change of preference (e.g., deciding you want a different color than originally planned) is not considered a correction and will require a new, paid service appointment.

    7. Booking & Cancellation Policy

    Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required. This courtesy allows us to accommodate other clients. Frequent or late cancellations may impact your ability to book future appointments.

    8. Late & No-Show Policy

    To ensure every client receives their full, unhurried service, please arrive on time. If you are significantly late, your service may need to be altered or rescheduled to respect the time of the next client. No-shows disrupt the schedule and may result in the inability to book future services.

    9. Right to Refuse Service

    We maintain a professional, respectful, and safe environment. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. This includes situations where a client's expectations are unrealistic, hair integrity is at severe risk, or if behavior is disruptive or disrespectful.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    By proceeding with your service, you acknowledge that chemical and physical hair transformations carry inherent variables. Hair That Feels Right and Tammy Aponte are not liable for unpredictable results caused by undisclosed hair history, previous chemical damage, or failure to adhere to professional aftercare instructions.
